RMFAO 2016 Genre Challenge!

I just recently joined a group on Goodreads called “Reading my frigging a** off”. Pretty funny name, right? 😛

So, they have this Genre reading challenge where the members participating read a book of decided genre for each month. So, I decided participating in it for 2016! Excited! 😀 😀

This year there are two genres for each month to give the members more options to choose from. I will try to squeeze in both the genres but let’s see. 😛 This year is going to be jam packed for me. I have a lot of plans for this year but reading is always going to be there. ❤

Rules:

1. Only members can participate.
2. You have to read at least 1 book each month for respective genre.
3. You have to select a level and make an announcement.

Levels:

Level 1: Casual Reader: 1 book (easy)
Level 2: Frequent Reader: 2 books (moderate)
Level 3: Bookworm: 3 books (mildly strenuous)
Level 4: Bibliophile: 4 books (strenuous)
Level 5: Bookiopath: 5 books or more (challenging)

I obviously want to be the Bookiopath let’s see. 😛

I am still leaving my options open, if I find a book that interests me more than what I have in the list then I might read that. I will make the changes as I go along but this post will mark the journey. I will add links to the reviews of the books that I read and if I decide on another book then that will be added here as well.

Have you guys thought about joining any reading challenges? 😀 😀

  1. You’ve got some great ones on your list, Dimple!

The Great Gatsby – I can still remember the first time I read this. I wondered almost through the entire book what was so great about it. After the ending though, I understood and loved it.

The Da Vinci Code – it might have been my favorite read for the year in which I read it. And the odd part is that I generally don’t like books that jump back and forth in time like that.

  2. I have read a Steam Punk book! I just noticed that The Time Machine is one. How about that! It also qualifies as a classic for the Classics Challenge. When I looked at your list before, I just read down the list of titles and didn’t really correlate them to a genre.

  3. Oh wow, I’m so impressed you can plan your reading out like this! I’m such a mood reader, so I struggle with these challenges a lot 😛 I can’t wait for you to read Gone Girl, it’s one of the best books I’ve read. Good luck! 🙂
