The Coffee Book Tag!

I was tagged by Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse. ❀ Β  I am not exactly obsessed with coffee but I still like my coffee strong. πŸ˜› Let’s get a cup of coffee and get on with this tag. πŸ™‚

Black: A series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.

Before you guys throw coffee at me, I would like to say something in my defense. I’ve watched all the movies and for me reading the books after watching the movie takes out the fun. I know, I know, you will say that there is so much in the books that was left out in the movies. I agree, I totally agree but I still don’t have it in me to pick up the books… maybe someday but not in the near future.

Peppermint Mocha: A book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.

I don’t know about others but Christmas time always makes me want to read books that have some christmas-y theme. I will choose “A Christmas Carol” for this.

I am still to read it. *sigh* What am I doing?

Hot Chocolate: A favorite children’s book.

Racking my brain… can’t come up with any… Can I say, all? Does it count as an answer? Oh my God… Why can’t I think of a book?…

Double Shot of Espresso: A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Without any doubt, this has to be the book that kept me on edge the whole time. It’s seriously good.

Starbucks: A book you see everywhere.

With the new season out, it’s literally everywhere.

That Hipster Coffee Shop: A book by an indie author (a shout out)

The Museum: A Collection of Dark Poetry

This was sent to me for review and now is the only poetry book I own and I love it. I just love it. It is bone chilling and I got goosebumps when I read it.

Oops! I Accidentally Got Decaf: A book you were expecting more from.

After reading “The Fault in our Stars” and the high praising reviews for “Looking for Alaska” I had high expectations from “Looking for Alaska”. Expectations do hurt, man!

The Perfect Blend: A book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.

This book has emotions, you can feel the words, you can feel the characters… the story… the pain… the laughter… the… everything.

Green Tea: A book or series that is quietly beautiful.

Road trip, YES! πŸ˜€

Chai Tea: A book or series that makes you dream of far off places.

The way Anna keeps on talking about Paris. ❀

Earl Grey: A favorite classic.

No words needed! ❀

As for the tags-Β

As usual you guys can do this now, later or never. Have fun with it. That’s all it’s about. ❀ πŸ˜›

Favorite Christmas Tradition!

I love everything about Christmas so pointing out something that is my favorite is difficult. πŸ˜€

But I think, for me, the favorite part that has kind of become a tradition in my family is opening the gifts on the Christmas morning together. Unless everyone is present or everyone has seen their gifts you can’t open yours alone. We have breakfast and then pick out our gifts from under the tree and open it one by one. Everyone staring at the one opening the gift with anticipation. The excitement in the room is contagious. πŸ˜› πŸ˜› Kind of makes it more fun! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Nothing great exactly but a little something that never fails to make me smile. πŸ˜€ ❀

Day 1 | 12 Days of Christmas Blogging!

Christmas! I have always loved December because of Christmas. The vibes for the whole month makes me cheery and bubbly. ❀ πŸ˜› I initially thought about doing a lot of Christmasy posts but well, my exams didn’t agree with me. πŸ˜› I still have one left which is on the 21st but if I wait till then, then I won’t get 12 days to complete this tag, so here we go. πŸ˜›

Favorite things about Christmas!

I love everything about Christmas! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ It makes December kind of my favorite month every year. ❀

More than anything it’s the good vibes from everything. It’s the time of sharing and giving. The love and positivity leaves me feeling all light-headed with happiness. πŸ˜€ Β I love giving gifts and love playing the role of Santa. πŸ˜› Thinking about gifts and shopping for them is fun! πŸ˜›

This isn’t exactly what I do but you get the picture! πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

Decorating the Christmas Tree! ❀ ❀ I love, love, love to do it. I love making my tree look all blingy and beautiful. There’s no such thing as too much decoration. I am like a kid when it comes to decorating my tree! ❀ πŸ˜€

All the food! The fattening devil! πŸ˜› Cakes, Chocolates, Cookies, Sweets… need I say more? πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

And all the beautiful pictures that take over internet! ❀ ❀

There’s not a thing that I don’t like about Christmas. I just love everything. This is the most peaceful and laid back time of the year for me. πŸ˜€ Everything from the weather, food, decorations, gifts; to people makes me happy. ❀ ❀

Be Thankful Challenge!

I was tagged for this challenge by the amazing Matt @Β Matt and his cats. πŸ™‚

I don’t only like his blog, I like him as a person too. He is one of the few people I like interacting with. πŸ™‚ Do check his blog out. You will definitely not be disappointed. πŸ˜€

The Rules

– Share this image in your blog post
– Write about 5 people in your life you are thankful for
– Write about 5 things in 2015 that you are thankful for
– Spread the love and challenge 5 other blogs to take partΒ

5 People I am Thankful for

I am grouping people. Otherwise my family will alone mean 3 people. Right? πŸ˜›

My Parents– Why? I don’t have all those emotional things to say when people mention family. I am thankful for them because they are quite cool and all of my friends are jealous. πŸ˜›

Not exactly is that the reason but my parents are more understanding than all the parents I know and I’ve never felt the need to hide anything from them. I can tell them anything and everything. They also share everything with me. We share a friendly bond and that’s what makes me feel thankful for them. πŸ˜€

My brother– My brother is the person whom I never have to impress. He is the only person who I allow to see me at my worst, he teases me but still supports me. He is younger to me by 3 years but he has always supported me in everything and I love him for that. ❀ He has listened to my every stupid dream and helped me with whatever new things I try. He taught me that taking life seriously is stupidity. πŸ˜› πŸ˜› Β Don’t tell him I told this to you guys. πŸ˜› Right now he fought with me for my tablet and succeeded in making me give it to him. Now he wants me to mark answers in his text book. He is a jerk and is about to get a head shot from the pillow. πŸ˜›

My close friends– All those who support me, tolerate my mood swings without complaining, and listen to me blabber. πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

People I talk to through this blog– They provide me with the needed human interaction that I try to avoid in real life. πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

Authors who send me books– Well, I don’t even have to explain this one. πŸ˜›

5 Things I am Thankful for in 2015

  • My changed self- trying to be an introvert, that is.
  • My decision to blog- This blog has helped me increase my reading while giving me people to talk about it. This blog gave me the opportunity to read books before they are published, communicate with authors, and be a part of this amazing blogosphere. ❀
  • My tablet- I read so many ebooks on my tablet that saves me from the small talks that I would have had to make otherwise. πŸ˜‰
  • My dreams and goals- They have given me something to work with, something to look forward to, something to keep me sane. πŸ˜€
  • Engineering- It’s a twisted thing actually. Engineering is what fuels my passion for reading. πŸ˜›

It was quite difficult for me to think of things that I am thankful for, so I centered myself and pointed out things. Can’t say you will all agree to it but it still is something that will make a big difference in the long run for me. πŸ™‚

I have always been in love with quotes and when you get a chance of sharing the quotes that make a difference in your life and help in shaping you as a person, it is difficult to select from the many quotes that have been a part of you! πŸ˜€

So, for this challenge I have decided to use 3 quotes that keep me going in my hard times. Everyone needs a boost when they feel low and these quotes pump me up. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€

The rules are pretty simple, here they go- πŸ˜€Β

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post a quote forΒ three consecutive days.
  • Nominate three new bloggers each day.

Here’s the third one! ❀ ❀ Β

This one is in co-relation to the second quote, actually to the reason I gave you in believing that quote.

So, many quotes with the same meaning. πŸ˜€ Whenever people have tried to bring me down, to make me feel that I can’t do something, I have never made the argument of me being good enough. I just went on proving that I was smart enough to ignore them and did just what they wanted to make me feel that I couldn’t. πŸ˜€ Revenge is sweet. πŸ˜› Some people don’t exactly realize that you have beat them but deep down they know. You can see it in their eyes. πŸ˜€

This the end of this challenge for me. Keep calm and rise! ❀ πŸ˜€

When things don’t go the way I planned, this is the quote that always keeps buzzing in my head. To be honest it’s true. Everything does happen for a reason. I realized it when I joined engineering although I wanted to do criminal law. By the end of my diploma I was a totally different person and I am thankful for that. πŸ™‚

I remember that I used to think why did I have to suffer with all these spineless people and still not get to do what I want but then I realized if I wasn’t there then I wouldn’t have been the person I have become. The strong, determined, hell bent on succeeding person I am looking at, in the mirror. So, I don’t know the career significance but what I do know is the reason behind me joining this course was to become a better person, to face all the challenges people threw my way, to dodge all the rumors, to maintain my calm, and destroy them with a bam! No, I never replied to any cruelty thrown my way but then again I didn’t need to because my actions made sure of showing them their place. πŸ˜‰
